Rachel GEisler,LMSW
Brooklyn and Virtual Relationship therapist
Hi, I'm Rachel a relationship therapist working in Brooklyn, Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they can't seem to change. The same arguments, the same disconnection, the same sense of talking but not really being heard. You might love your partner deeply, but lately it feels harder to reach one another. Or maybe you're not in a relationship right now, but you keep finding yourself in the same dynamics and wondering why. Whether you're navigating a relationship that feels strained or trying to understand yourself better before your next one, you're in the right place.
Maybe you're both juggling demanding schedules, working opposite hours, or coping with the stress of creative or service-based work that leaves little room to recharge. Over time, even strong relationships can start to feel distant, tense, or uncertain.
How We’ll Work Together
As a relationship therapist, I work with both individuals and couples who are ready to do something different. Couples therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what is really happening, and begin to reconnect. Individual therapy allows us to look closely at the relationship patterns that keep showing up in your life, so you can understand what's driving them and start to shift them.
My work helps couples break free from frustrating cycles. Together, we identify the patterns beneath conflict, uncover the emotions that drive them, and build the skills to communicate with empathy and confidence. My goal is to help you move beyond managing surface-level tension and toward building a foundation of trust, safety, and lasting connection.
I also understand the real-life pressures that can strain even the strongest relationships. For those in hospitality or the performing arts, the unique combination of long hours, irregular schedules, and high emotional demands can make connection feel especially hard to maintain. Together, we work to rebuild closeness, improve communication, and strengthen the sense of partnership that allows each person to feel grounded, supported, and seen, even in the most demanding seasons of life.
Rachel’s Expertise
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a degree from Hunter College. As a relationship therapist, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and draw from psychodynamic, IFS, CBT, and DBT informed approaches. My style is collaborative, open, and compassionate. I believe change happens through honesty, curiosity, and the courage to show up differently. I also practice from an anti-racist, LGBTQ+ affirming, and Health at Every Size perspective, creating a space where all identities and experiences are welcome.
Whether you're feeling disconnected from your partner, stuck in old patterns, or just longing to feel closer again, working with a relationship therapist can help you rebuild the connection you want. Together, we'll work toward communication that feels safe, intimacy that feels natural, and a relationship that feels grounded, even when life is unpredictable.
